About The Protocols Team

The Protocols team is at the forefront of innovation and the foundation of ConsenSys. We drive and support the Ethereum ecosystem, enable Enterprises around the world to successfully deploy and manage blockchains at scale, and power other products at ConsenSys (MetaMask, Infura, CodeFi, Palm). We are believers in contributing to the Ethereum community with our time (EIP-1559, The Merge), expertise, and products (Besu, Teku, Web3Signer). ConsenSys R&D is part of the Protocols Team where we have the opportunity for long-term thinking in the products we bring to market. Our products span both open-source and commercial offerings. Similar to our products, our team is also decentralized around the world.

About The Role

ConsenSys is in search of an experienced and motivated Senior Product Manager to join the Protocols team! You will lead a talented team in determining opportunities, synthesizing customer problems, defining the what, when, and why. You’ll work closely with the engineering team to help derive creative, valuable solutions for our customers. You will have the support of ConsenSys as a whole to help you execute at scale.
The products we offer in the Protocols team enable developers and operators. It is important that you are able to empathize with our customers so having experience in one of these roles or building for these customers before is a plus. This team is a unique position as you will be expected to interact with vibrant open source communities, large enterprises, and internal teams to determine the direction of our products.

  • Ability to drive out clarity from ambiguity (opportunity, vision, strategy, roadmap, go-to-market)
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills
  • Thrives in an autonomous environment (empowered teams)
  • Consistently executes on fast feedback loops (build, measure, learn)
  • Works closely with customers and adjacent internal teams (support, marketing, legal, sales, etc) to produce positive outcomes
  • Technologist by experience or education; comfortable communicating high-level benefits and digging into the technical weeds
  • Experience in producing valuable products for Developers and/or Operators
  • Crypto/Blockchain curious
  • Comfortable working remotely with a globally distributed team
  • Open to learning and willing to give/receive feedback
  • Experience in building open-sourced products and/or enabling large enterprises
