Cypherpunk 2021: ConsenSys Internal Hackathon

The Ethereum ecosystem has an amazingly rich heritage of hackathons. Building, hacking, and trying out new technologies in the pursuit of new ideas is a foundational part of how we build upon the open-source software that defines our decentralized ecosystem. Many of the great ideas and projects come from hacking and building in a very rapid way. Since the early days of our company in 2015 and 2016, we’ve hosted hackathon’s and have also participated in community hackathons (EthCC, DevCon, EthBerlin, just to name a few), sponsored hackathons, and built some great software and relationships.
In this spirit, ConsenSys is running an internal hackathon! One of the cool things I’ve been doing as CTO is helping get our first internal ConsenSys Software Hack Week going. We’ve got an amazing community of great people in our company, who are working collaboratively across teams and functions to bring their ideas to life using our home built tools.
Leading up to the hackathon, we’ve hosting an amazing series of 20 internal workshops suggested and led by members of ConsenSys. The workshops ranged from deep dives into EIPs, design thinking, Layer-2 protocols, MetaMask Snaps, and the latest and greatest from our client teams and researchers on Eth2. We will be making some of these public in the days and weeks following the hackathon.
I’m super excited for the hackathon, the great things we will build, and the great people to help make it happen. For those of you reading this, you should come join us to be a part of this and the other great things happening at ConsenSys.
More posts will be coming soon sharing results and research, so stay tuned for more information by following along on Twitter or joining our Discord!
