Codefi Assets is a technology stack built by ConsenSys Codefi to create, issue, and manage the lifecycle of digital assets, associated markets, and digital financial instruments on public or permissioned blockchain networks.
The Codefi Assets stack is built around 3 main token categories: fungible, non-fungible and hybrid tokens.
In multiple use cases, hybrid tokens appear as a relevant standard to represent financial assets, especially in the context of fund tokenization, when there is a requirement to distinguish tokens from different share classes within a single token smart contract.
Back in 2018, we chose the ERC1400 token standard for Codefi Assets’ hybrid tokens, because it is a more evolved standard that allows tokenized assets to perform highly controllable token transfers, is ERC20-compliant, and in general is the most appropriate standard for financial asset tokenization proposed by the community so far.
As we continue to increase the development of tools and features around ERC1400, we want to make sure that what we prioritise for ERC1400 remains aligned with the full extent of the community’s needs and uses.
Help us build the next evolution of ERC1400 and take this brief survey — we want to hear from you!
