Josh had no programming experience when he first heard about Ethereum, but the potential of blockchain technology sounded so interesting and disruptive that he was inspired to learn. He graduated from the first class of the Consensys Developer Academy where he attained expertise in Ethereum application development. He is grateful to be able to refine and share his knowledge as part of the Consensys Academy team.

Tom is a Product Manager with ConsenSys Academy, helping to bring the power of the blockchain to practical and user-friendly education products. Tom’s career spans management consulting and K-12 education, specializing in data analysis, measurement, and product development. He first got interested in blockchain through his work with student data and got excited about its potential in the education space, leading him on a path to join ConsenSys Academy. Tom received a Bachelor of Science in Materials Science & Engineering and Political Science from MIT and is an alumnus of the Strategic Data Project.

Joshua is the lead developer with ConsenSys Academy, merging his passion for the blockchain with his background in software development for educational enterprises. After receiving a B.Sc.and M.Eng. from Cornell Engineering, Joshua began his career at Goldman Sachs and then transitioned to consulting on technology solutions. In his role, Joshua is focused on both the Academy web-products and upcoming education platform projects. Originally from Puerto Rico, now living in New York, Joshua likes to read, cook, travel and work with different technologies.

Zaq is a lifelong content creator with 10+ years experience working with brands to produce video for the web. His work has received over 250MM views and been featured in AdWeek, The New York Times, Vice, The Today Show, CBS Sunday Morning, + more. He joined ConsenSys in 2017 and is currently working with the Academy team to produce educational content for online courses.

Inna is an Instructional Designer, course developer, consultant and learning strategist with over 20 years experience in producing e-Learning, classroom and virtual training solution that makes complex topics clear and approachable. Inna has started her career at the Institute for the Learning Sciences at Northwestern University, where she learned how to bring the science of learning, human cognition and digital multimedia into education. With a broad knowledge of instructional design, Inna can empower subject matter experts to integrate best practices of pedagogy and andragogy in online learning solutions.

With over 15 years of experience in technology, Akila has worked in the content and identity management space at Oracle and delivered several industry-leading applications that are in wide use today. Later, Akila co-founded evolv.ng to help young adults fulfill their college admission dreams. In her current role at ConsenSys Academy, Akila is building products to transform education using Blockchain technology and developing content to bridge the Ethereum knowledge gap.

Nick Nelson joins Consensys as a multimedia designer with an educational background in computer science, math, and cognitive science. Beginning his career—way back around the birth of web 2.0—in web design and coding, he eventually founded a small creative digital media company to leverage his extensive production know-how and to offer creative leadership to clients across the spectrum. He brings diverse expertise in digital media and motion graphics design, video production/direction, ideation, and writing.

Malkie joins us after working in Operations and Marketing for early-stage startups and most recently, a non profit. Her career has been motivated by transparency and sustainable business practices, factors that drew her to ConsenSys. In her current role, Malkie is leading marketing operations on the Academy team to bring blockchain education to a broader audience. When she is not making to-do lists or strategizing for work, you’d likely find her reading anything non-fiction, running in Prospect Park, or searching (endlessly) for the best fish taco Brooklyn has to offer.

Aditi joined ConsenSys in 2017 from the Chamber of Digital Commerce where she focused on blockchain policy and business development around furthering the adoption of blockchain technology. Given her 3+ years of experience in the blockchain space, she leads Academy’s strategic partnerships node and is dedicated to growing the Ethereum ecosystem.

Carlos is a Nicaraguan computer science engineer joining us from Madrid. He co-founded two startups, one was purchased and, the other, acquired by one of its shareholders. He lead the Academy Program of Opinno, a tech consultancy firm and the Spanish editors of MIT Technology Review and Harvard Business Review. He’s been involved in the Blockchain space since late 2014. Since then, he has worked as Blockchain advisor for tie-1 and large corporations from Finance, Energy, Health and Retail industries, he was awarded 2nd place in a national-level blockchain hackathon and he co-authored 2 Blockchain books with top experts in Spain.

Mike spends his time exploring better ways to manage digital identities by utilizing the Ethereum blockchain. He has full stack development from a variety of business from small ecommerce sites to IBM Watson Health. His is currently the lead developer for Ethense, creating a credentialing system for educational certificates. Mike is thrilled to be part of Consensys and contribute to creating impactful tools made possible blockchains.
